Our Beliefs

The Bible & Scripture

We believe the Bible is the true and sufficient word of God that has final authority. It is how God reveals who he is to us to us. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21)

God

We believe there is only one Triune God who is living and sovereign who exists in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4)

Jesus

We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God. He is co-equal with God the Father. We believe in He is the way, the truth, and the life. We believe in His undeserved, atoning death on the cross for our sins. We believe He physically rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of God until His return. (John 14:6, Romans 3:24-26, Mark 16:1-8)

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Lord, a distinct person, and is co-equal with God the Father and Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit is at work in all who believe in Jesus, stirring in the hearts of believers, and inspired the writing of Scripture. (2 Corinthians 3:17-18, John 3:8)

The Church

We believe in the universal Church, expressed in local churches. We believe the church is the body of Christ, a group of believers who are called to worship God, evangelize and to equip to shine the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 12:13, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 4:11-16)

Sin

We believe that sin is both physical and spiritual death to himself. We can do nothing to earn God’s favor and in result, we are in need of salvation. We believe that God loves and pursues us and offers forgiveness, healing and abundant life to anyone who turns to Him. (Genesis 2:17, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, John 3:

Salvation

We believe salvation is a sovereign gift of God and the only means of salvation is through Jesus Christ. We believe salvation is by grace alone through personal faith in Jesus Christ. (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 10:19-25)

Discipleship

We believe discipleship requires a commitment to pursuing a relationship with Jesus Christ and the Church. We are motivated in discipleship by gratitude for God’s mercy and Jesus Christ’s love, not by our works for salvation. (Luke 14:25-35, Matthew 22:37-40, Romans 12:1-2)

Men & Women Created Equally

We believe that we are made in the image of God and that we are called to care for men and women of all backgrounds. (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:13-14)

Purpose of Life

We believe that the purpose of our life is to know God through a personal relationship with Him and that everything we do should be through Jesus bringing Him glory and honor. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
